A powerful spring storm brought rain, lightning and high winds to the Phoenix Arizona area Monday night - causing damage throughout the city. The strong winds snapped several power lines on Gilbert Road - crashing down on top of some cars at about 10:30 p.m. Drivers had to wait until the fire department arrived to help get them out safely. Police say there were no injuries and no homes went without power. Gilbert Road is closed from University to Adobe with access blocked from all side streets. In Chandler, the winds collapsed a huge tent at a car dealership - damaging several cars.
