High pressure is keeping New England dry today as skies are sunny to partly cloudy. Widely scattered showers are falling through southern sections of the Northeast while scattered showers and thunderstorms are spreading south along the East Coast to Florida. Low pressure is producing scattered showers and thunderstorms from the Upper Midwest south to the Gulf Coast. Showers and thunderstorms are developing through the central Plains while isolated thunderstorms are rumbling through the northern and central Rockies. Skies are cloudy in the Pacific Northwest with a few showers falling through the region. The rest of the western U.S. is seeing sunny to partly cloudy skies.
