MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- A student who graduated from Carl Albert High School this week was killed in car crash early Wednesday morning.
Ashley Parham, 18, was driving eastbound on the north side of the field house at the high school around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday. She struck another vehicle that was headed southbound in the parking lot, Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said.
Parham sustained a severe laceration to the neck and was transported to OU Medical Center. She died in surgery, Clabes said.
The driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Parham was picking up a family member near the field house when the accident happened. She had just graduated on Saturday.
