This afternoon will be quite toasty, but not as hot as the weekend ahead of us. Temperatures today will get up into the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies with winds from the south at 10 to 20. There is a risk for some severe storms in the panhandle this afternoon into tonight.
This weekend will be hot and humid with temperatures getting up into the low and mid 90s. It will also be a windy weekend with winds from the south at 15 to 30 miles per hour.
The next chance for rain will not arrive until Monday night into Tuesday.
