Hey there...

We are halfway through the year and I wonder where does the time go? I hope you and your family are enjoying the summer.  We have had some good times together and looking forward to the July 4th holiday with some close friends.

The summer maybe challenging for parents.  I am finding that every day my 9 year old son is wanting to do "something" .. "anything".. that either costs money or involves getting together with a ton of friends.  I have told him over and over... I am not the entertainment committee.  While that works for the moment... I am learning .. that making him responsible comes from doing.. not just saying.  We have some chores in place and he is pretty faithful to complete them... but there still seems this struggle to make it a priority in his daily routine.

How about you with your kids? What are you doing to help them learn responsibilities?  Let me know... I will share your ideas with our viewers.

Be sure to check our all that is going on for the Power for your Pocketbook page here on the website.  There is a great feature for you to start a comment section on great deals you are finding.. or how you are saving more... or how you are teaching your kids the value of a dollar :) Hope this Holiday is finding you grateful for your freedom.

I once heard the definition of Freedom as this: Remember freedom is not the will to do what you want.. it is the power to do what is right.

Blessings to you and your family.
