Teaching Kids Responsibilities

Hey there...

We are halfway through the year and I wonder where does the time go? I hope you and your family are enjoying the summer.  We have had some good times together and looking forward to the July 4th holiday with some close friends.

The summer maybe challenging for parents.  I am finding that every day my 9 year old son is wanting to do "something" .. "anything".. that either costs money or involves getting together with a ton of friends.  I have told him over and over... I am not the entertainment committee.  While that works for the moment... I am learning .. that making him responsible comes from doing.. not just saying.  We have some chores in place and he is pretty faithful to complete them... but there still seems this struggle to make it a priority in his daily routine.
