Hey there..
Hope you are enjoying this hot summer. The temperatures are going to be in the 100's... it sounds like for the next few days... Today some tips for keeping your house cool... Remember make way for shade for east and west windows. When possible, delay heat-generating activities such as running the dishwasher.. until the latter part of the day.. Try to not let in that heat and humidity inside the house.. we have a problem of sometimes just making sure the door gets closed behind us.. when we are running in and out of the house. At night... keep those ceiling fans turning.... that helps. If you are thinking about planting.... plant those shade trees to help around the house. Don't plant trees on the South if you want to benefit from passive solar heating in the winter. Keep your cool... and don't forget to check in your elderly neighbors ... the heat can be very taxing on that age group. Hey if you have any great savings ideas for keeping things cooler in the summer check out our forum page here on the website.... and share the wealth with all of us..
Make it a great day.. Blessings.. Robin
