OKLAHOMA CITY -- A state lawmaker is fighting what he calls taxpayer waste.

Representative Mike Reynolds said a private Web site is making money off public legal documents. He said court clerks are providing the records for free and that's not fair.

"The biggest misgiving I have is that they have received apparently millions of dollars worth of court records for free. Any other citizen of the state of Oklahoma has to go to the courthouse and pay for those records," Rep. Mike Reynolds said.

The site, called On Demand Court Records, said the documents are still public property. Its premium service just provides paying attorneys with online access to them.

Representative Reynolds wants the Speaker of the House to allow a further investigation of the Web site issue.
