Oklahoma Teachers Rewarded for Improving Students' Performance

Oklahoma's Academic Achievement Award program awards teachers who improve their students' academic performance and teachers across the state are reaping the benefits.

GUTHRIE, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma's Academic Achievement Award program awards teachers who improve their students' academic performance.

Teachers at three Guthrie schools received the Triple-A awards and are cheering their cash prizes.

"I'm glad to see that the legislature is rewarding those who really work hard," said Sherryl McClain, a teacher at Fogarty Elementary School.

Dozens of schools are also getting the same recognition. See the full list of winning schools for the Triple-A awards.
