OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police are asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of robbing a Subway restaurant on the city's northwest side.

Police said a man went into the Subway at 4227 N.W. 23rd Street and approached the counter, asking for a cup for water. He then filled his cup with ice and approached the counter again with a knife in hand, demanding money from the only employee working at the time. After the suspect got the money, he forced the employee into the back inside of a refrigerated unit.

Police do not know if the suspect left on foot or in a vehicle.

According to police, a plastic cup was found in the trash can next to the ice machine thought to be the cup the suspect used to get ice. Police are testing it for fingerprints.

Store surveillance video showed the image of the suspect. The suspect is described as a heavy set black male wearing a gray colored t-shirt, dark jeans, dark shoes and a navy blue baseball cap. He is said to be middle-aged, approximately 5' 9" tall and weighs about 250 pounds.
