EDMOND, Oklahoma -- Edmond police are asking for help after a motorcyclist was killed Saturday night in a traffic accident at Kelly Avenue and 2nd Street.

Edmond police say 21-year-old William Davis died on impact after being struck by a car.

"Apparently, it looks like right now the motorcyclist was struck from behind by a vehicle," said Glynda Chu, Edmond Police Department.

The driver has been identified as 49-year-old Linda Denny, also of Edmond. She was not injured.

On Sunday, police requested help from the public to find a second motorist who hit Davis after he was struck by Denny's vehicle. The second motorist then fled the scene.

The wreck is still under investigation. Police said they do not believe Davis was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The area was blocked off from traffic while police investigated and cleaned up the scene.

Chu said as with the mild temperatures, drivers and motorcyclists need to be extra careful and pay attention to each other.

If you have information about the second driver, call Edmond police at 405-359-4495.
