DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- Two Del City teens were the victims of a hit-and-run while trick-or-treating Saturday night.

Police said two girls were walking in a Del City neighborhood when someone in a white car hit them and drove off. Both girls were taken to the hospital. One required surgery for a broken leg.

Police didn't have much to go on, but the next day, a woman called Del City Police to report her car had been vandalized. When police took a look at her car, they discovered the 85-year-old owner was likely a suspect, not a victim.

"When the officers responded, they found evidence and believed it was used in the hit and run accident," said Del City Police Capt Jody Suits.

The woman has not been arrested at this time, but she could still face charges.
