2.5 Earthquake Shakes Jones On Midterm Election Day

JONES, Oklahoma – A 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck Jones Tuesday morning.

The earthquake hit four miles southeast of Jones and four miles northeast of Choctaw at about 10:30 a.m.

No damage was reported from the small quake. Researchers said 2.5 to 3.0 magnitude quakes are typically the smallest felt by people.
