EDMOND, Oklahoma -- An Oklahoma Sheriff's deputy arrested a woman for driving under the influence with a 2-year-old in the car.
A deputy said he noticed Anne Foltz, 42, attempting to park her vehicle at a convenience store, nearly hitting a parked vehicle, and eventually partially parking her vehicle in a parking spot. The deputy said he also noticed a young child in the back of the vehicle, not properly restrained and was moving around.
The deputy approached the woman and immediately noticed she was unsteady on her feet. Foltz told the deputy that she had taken some prescription medications, according to an Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office press release.
While speaking with Foltz, the deputy said the 2-year-old child repeatedly got out of the vehicle and had to be chased and picked up.
After searching Foltz's vehicle, deputies said they found numerous prescription drugs inside the vehicle.
Foltz was arrested for driving under the influence, child endangerment, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a valid prescription.
A relative picked up the 2-year-old from the scene.
