OKLAHOMA CITY – AAA Oklahoma, along with lawmakers and other safety advocates, is hosting a "Texting While Driving Summit."
The summit will be held at the state Capitol building in room 412C on November 17 at 1 p.m.
Oklahoma is among 30 states that have no law that bans texting while driving.
"This summit will be a wide-ranging, free-wheeling exchange of ideas," said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma, the summit's sponsor. "We'll be talking about whether we need a law specifically forbidding texting while driving in Oklahoma and if so, what that law should look like."
