OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police blocked off a southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood Tuesday evening after shots were fired during an apparent burglary.

Oklahoma City Police Capt. Dee Patty said police arrived at the home in the 2700 block of S. Brock Drive at about 4:30 p.m. and reported a shot was fired from inside the residence.

Initially police tried to enter the home to clear it but then backed out and set up a perimeter. Eventually they were able to search the home but found it empty and cleared the scene.

The neighborhood was blocked between Pennsylvania and Kentucky avenues and from S.W. 29th Street to S.W. 25th Street for over an hour.
