OKLAHOMA CITY -- A recent poll by SoonerPoll.com showed Oklahomans would rather see the government implement spending cuts instead of increasing taxes or fines and fees as a way of handling budget issues.
The poll showed that 85.5 percent of Oklahomans were in favor of spending cuts instead of raising taxes, and 72.3 percent preferred spending cuts to increased fines and fees.
The number of Oklahomans who were against raising taxes was higher than the national poll results, which was 77 percent. However, Oklahomans were about average on the feeling to increasing fines and fees over spending cuts, according to a national poll by Rasmussen.
