OKLAHOMA CITY -- After graduation, two Florida natives packed up and took off on a road trip to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity across the country. Friday they stopped in Oklahoma City to lend a helping hand and had help handed to them.

The two graduates said they were surprised by the hospitality offered in Oklahoma when they called the Habitat office to volunteer and share their story.

"I get a phone call the next morning ‘We scored basically a free hotel room for you at the Residence Inn.' I was like ‘Are you serious?' We get a nice warm shower after we do all this hard work," said Amanda Clonts, Habitat for Humanity volunteer.

They say it's the first time something like this has happened during their nine week journey. They hope to make it to San Diego by Christmas to celebrate with family there.
