2.5 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded Near Sparks

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A 2.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Sparks.

The earthquake struck around 8:15 p.m. It was recorded three miles west of Sparks and six miles northeast of Meeker.

No damage was reported from the small quake. Researchers said 2.5 to 3.0 magnitude quakes are typically the smallest felt by people.
