ANADARKO, Oklahoma -- Anadarko police are investigating the fatal shooting of a possible intruder that occurred during an apparent home invasion.
Police told Lawton Constitution that officers responded to a home invasion call about 9:10 p.m. Monday.
Police say officers found 21-year-old Anthony Wetselline with several gunshot wounds and he died shortly after being transported to an Oklahoma City hospital by helicopter.
The homeowner told police Wetselline had kicked in his door, so he opened fire.
Wetselline's body was taken to the state Medical Examiner's office, but officials at that agency said they couldn't reveal his cause or manner of death on Wednesday.
The Caddo County District Attorney's office will decide if the homeowner will face any charges.
