OKLAHOMA CITY – Police are investigating two shooting in northeast Oklahoma City that left one person dead and three others injured.

The first reports came in shortly after 8:00 p.m. Thursday of three people shot near Springlake Drive and N.E. 35th Street. Another report followed of one person shot on N.E. 24th Street.

Family members at the scene on N.E. 35th Street said the victim who died was an 18-year-old. He is the youngest in the family and they are taking it hard.

"His grandmother and grandfather are not taking it well. They helped raise him and they are not taking it well. I just hate to see this happen to a young kid," said Brenda Thurman, who knows the shooting victim.

Police have not released any information about the other three victims who were shot. They are all being treated at an area hospital.

None of the victims' names have been released.

Residents in the area on N.E. 35th Street said this is the second night in a row shots have been heard in the area.

Officers said there is a vehicle at one of the crime scenes that they believe some of the victims may have been in at the time of the shooting. The 18-year-old was found deceased in the backyard of a home. The homeowner made the discovery as police were conducting their investigation.

Police currently have no witnesses, no suspect information and no motive.
