OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police have arrested a man accused of raping a woman in a bathroom stall at a downtown hotel.
The attack occurred Jan. 18. The victim told police when she finished using the bathroom and opened the door to the stall, she saw a man standing in the bathroom. She confronted him and told him to leave the women's restroom.
The woman said the man walked around the corner and she heard the door open and close, but she could see in the bathroom mirror that he hadn't left the room. She started screaming and tried to run past the suspect, but he caught her. The victim said the man then forced her into a stall and raped her on the floor.
After the suspect left, the victim reported the rape. After taking the victim's description of her attacker and watching surveillance video taken near the scene, officers searched the area. An officer spotted 34-year-old Juan Wilson at the Downtown Oklahoma City Library. The officer said Wilson matched the description of the rapist and had scratches on his face.
Police took Wilson into custody and transported him back to the scene, where the victim identified him as the man who attacked her.
Police booked Wilson on a complaint of first-degree rape.
