YUKON, Oklahoma -- The Yukon Police Department is asking the public to help catch a man who robbed a Christian book store at gunpoint last month.

The man, armed with a black handgun, entered Christian Connections Book Store Dec. 23 and demanded money from the store clerk. The robber grabbed all the money in the cash register, and stole a cross ornament and a cross with a candle. He then forced the clerk to go to the back of the store.

After the suspect left, the clerk called 911. She described the robber as a white man about 50 years old, 5'8', with gray hair, crooked teeth and a medium build. Police used her description to create a sketch of the suspect.

Anyone with information about the crime should call the Yukon Police Department at (405) 354-1711. People can also text tips to CRIMES (274637).
