OKLAHOMA CITY -- The family of an Oklahoma City Police Sergeant accused of molestation claimed some items were stolen from the family's home, but a police spokesperson said some of the items were actually taken as evidence.

Police searched Maurice Martinez's house Thursday and Friday, but his family said the home was ransacked and there were several items missing.

Oklahoma City police spokesman Captain Patrick Stewart said police took gaming systems and other electronic items as evidence. Officers also removed some guns from the home.

Captain Stewart did say while they posted someone at the front of the house after the search, someone may have entered through a back door which did not lock.

Stewart said the family is welcome to file a burglary report, but one has not been made yet.
