Oklahoma City Serial Rapist Sentenced

An Oklahoma City man who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and raping five women has been sentenced to five consecutive life sentences.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma City man who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and raping five women has been sentenced to five consecutive life sentences.

John Earl Stepney, 31, was arrested in January 2009. He was charged with 20 counts of rape, kidnapping, robbery and burglary.

Prosecutors said he attacked several women throughout the metro area, including a victim he abducted from the parking garage at Penn Square Mall in December 2008. He forced her to withdraw money from her bank, raped her, then left her in the parking lot of a strip mall.
