YUKON, Oklahoma -- Most kids are itching to get outside and play during their snow days, but the arctic temperatures can be dangerous to their skin.
Doctors are warning parents to take precautions when heading out to avoid hypothermia and frostbite.
Experts suggest the following:
Signs of hypothermia include confusion, dizziness, uncontrollable shivering.
For frostbite, watch out for gray, white or yellow skin discoloration, numbness and waxy feeling skin and seek medical attention immediately.
