Free Dental Clinic Going On Friday, Saturday In Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Hundreds of dental professionals will be at the Cox Convention Center today offering free care to anyone who needs it.

Dentists and hygienists will offer cleanings, fillings and root canals.

The free clinic began at 5 a.m. and will be open again Saturday at 5 a.m.

Association President Tamara Berg said Tuesday that what is dubbed as the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy is expected to attract 2,000 patients, who will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. This is the second year for the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy clinic. This year's event is being funded by a $150,000 grant from the Delta Dental of Oklahoma Oral Health Foundation, which also helped sponsor the 2010 event.
