Pizza Dough Recipe
2 teaspoon yeast
1 ¼ cup warm water
1 ½ teaspoon sugar
3 ½ cup flour
2 tablespoon and 2 teaspoon salt
¼ cup olive oil
In a small bowl, mix together the yeast, water and sugar. Allow to sit 10 minutes or until foamy on top. (This means the yeast is active)
In a stand mixer using the dough hook attachment, mix together the flour and salt. Once yeast mixture is ready add in ¼ cup olive oil. Add liquid mixture to flour and mix together till a ball forms. Remove from the mixer and place into a lightly oiled bowl (I use olive oil). Turn the dough ball around in the bowl till shiny with oil. Place a towel over bowl and allow to rise in a warm spot for about 1 ½ hours or until double in size. Punch down and cut into 4th's or 6th's for personal size pizza.
To cook pizza: Preheat oven to 400 degrees with pizza stone inside. Dress pizza with your favorite toppings and bake 15-20 minutes or until dough is crispy and cheese is melted.
