YUKON, Oklahoma -- Police have arrested a man accused of firing a starter pistol inside of a metro hospital.

Matthew Grim was taken to Integris Canadian Valley Hospital Wednesday night after complaining of chest pains. He was in a room when hospital security heard what sounded like a single gunshot.

When guards entered Grim's room, they found a handgun on the floor. The 39-year-old said he didn't know anything about the gun and claimed it fired on its own.

Security guards secured the gun, which fired only blanks, and called Yukon police. Officers arrested Grim on an outstanding warrant. Yukon police are still investigating and charges relating to the incident have not been filed against Grim.
