OKLAHOMA CITY -- A man on skates was hit by a motorist in downtown Oklahoma City Monday afternoon.

It happened near the city bus station on N.W. 4th near Hudson Avenue.

Witnesses said the victim had significant injuries and was taken to a hospital by EMSA.

The man's identity and condition are not known at this time.

Immediately following the accident, witnesses said a man in the bus station parking lot took out a knife and threatened bystanders. However, they said his actions were not related to the auto-ped accident. Police took that man into custody.

As he was being hauled away, News 9 reporter Rusty Surette asked the suspect why he was being arrested.

"Ask them. They [the police] are lying," the unidentified suspect said.
