OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma Impact Team, is following new developments with Oklahoma's so-called puppy mill bill.
A last-ditch effort to scrap the new rules passed the Senate Wednesday afternoon and is headed to the House for a vote.
If the emergency measure passes the house, Oklahoma's dog breeding industry will remain unregulated for now. The year-long process of writing the regulations would start all over again.
The Commercial Pet Breeders Act would regulate breeders and aims to shut down substandard breeding operations in Oklahoma.
