Teen Using Putnam City School Fundraiser To Scam People

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Putnam City school officials say a teen is scamming people with candy sales.

A young man is going around the metro selling candy to support the Putnam City High School basketball team, but the team isn't selling candy.

School officials say the teen is using the fundraiser to scam people.

He is described as a young African American male who is very polite. He's six feet tall and slightly built. He has used the name Keith Chase. He may even have a Putnam City High School shirt or jersey.

The school said any Putnam City student raising money for a fundraiser will have a photo ID, so it's a good idea to check.
