Body Found In Garvin County Pond

Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are investigating a body found in a pond three miles south of Erin Springs.

ERIN SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are investigating a body found in a pond three miles south of Erin Springs.

A landowner spotted the body Wednesday morning and reported it to the Garvin County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Larry Rhodes then requested OSBI's help.

Rhodes said the body is that of a male, and is in a state of decomposition. The sheriff couldn't confirm if the body is that a man who went missing near the area.

The body has been turned over to medical examiner for identification, cause and manner of death.

Agents are searching the area for any evidence of foul play.
