Tushka Students In Desperate Need Of School Supplies

TUSHKA, Oklahoma -- The April 14 tornado destroyed all three school buildings in Tushka, but students must still attend class and they desperately need school supplies.

Five hundred students will finish the school year beginning next week.  Educators will hold classes in various churches and community centers in Tushka and Atoka.

Administrators are asking people to donate money or needed items.  They include:

• New backpacks
• Packages of Number 2 pencils
• Boxes of black pens
• Reams of lined paper
• Folders
• Boxes of 64-count crayons
• Small bottles of Elmer's glue
• 12-inch rulers
• Scissors
• Boxes of tissues

Donations can be made to the American Red Cross.
