OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City is tops in tweets! The City of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office have both been recognized as being in the top 10 Twitter accounts for cities and counties in the United States.
Out of 1,293 accounts across 810 cities and counties, @cityofokc and @OKCountySheriff rank in the top 10 for followers, according to an article in Code for America, a public service website.
The City of Oklahoma City had 5,353 followers, and the Sheriff's Office had 1,179 when the study was completed in late April.
Also included in the top 10 "twittering cities and counties" are the cities of New York City, Seattle, Minneapolis and Miami.
