OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma County Assessor has lowered the assessed valuations of properties ravage by wildfires in portions of eastern Oklahoma County earlier this month.

Leonard Sullivan said the fires caused more than $120,000 in damages to nine properties in mostly rural areas near Choctaw.

Field assessment teams documented the losses to each property which will result in lower assessments for this calendar year.
