SPENCER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies are looking for clues in the death of an 18-year-old woman in Spencer.

The body of 18-year-old Deborah Duplessis was found inside her residence at 8009 N.E. 26th Street about 10:30 a.m. by her mother. Thursday. Deputies said the victim had trauma to her head.

Investigators said the death is suspicious. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office will make a final determination regarding a cause of death.

Clint Ackerman said the mother and the daughter used to work for him in his thrift store. He said he and his wife even got a call from Deborah's cell phone Wednesday night.

"And we tried to call back like four or five times to no answer, and then I got a phone call today saying they found her,"Ackerman said. "It's crazy. I mean she was a good girl she worked hard."

Investigators are not commenting on the phone call Ackerman received Wednesday night.
