OKLAHOMA CITY -- Local authorities have made an arrest in a rash of metro holdups.
Last month, detectives in Oklahoma City, Bethany and Warr Acres worked a string of robberies they believed were all committed by the same man.
The robber hit A CVS in Warr Acres, a Pizza Hut in Bethany, two Subway restaurants in Oklahoma City, and the Lotus Mandarin Restaurant twice.
Bethany police arrested Alexander Helton, 22, immediately after the second robbery at the Lotus Mandarin Restaurant.
A Bethany police officer spotted a black Honda that fit the description of the car police were looking for. After a short pursuit, Bethany officers were able to stop Helton and take him into custody.
Helton is currently in the Oklahoma County Jail on numerous charges of robbery with a firearm and eluding police.
