Fried Onion Burgers On The Menu For El Reno Main Street Fest

EL RENO, Oklahoma -- If it's the first Saturday in May, it's Fried Onion Burger Day in El Reno. An estimated 25,000 people were attend the festival that includes a car show, motorcycle show, beer garden and, of course, food.

Fried Onion Burger Day is hosted by the El Reno Main Street program with the goal of cooking the largest burger ever – plans call for the patty to weigh over 750 pounds.

Smaller versions are available for $3, according to the group's Facebook Page. The festival runs through 6 p.m.

There will be a kid's game area, live entertainment and a craft area to appeal to the whole family.
