It has been a good month for CBS Executives. Watching NBC implode with its late-night debacle has no doubt been enjoyable. But the CBS brass is on their hands and knees this weekend hoping and praying. You see, CBS has the Super Bowl this year and they are a Colts and Vikings win away from what would no doubt be the highest rated, most watched football game in the history of the planet.

A Brett Favre/Peyton Manning showdown would bring the most eyeballs since the final episode of M.A.S.H.  It would force other networks to go black in a show of non-compete. It would be Ali/Frazier, Magic/Bird, U.S./Russia Cold War style. It could be the game that single-handedly saves the American Economy.
