-You know what makes March Madness official? The Blue! Everytime I see the official NCAA blue curtains and banners and signage...I get chills. It's like when mom would get out the fancy butter dish. You knew somebody important must be coming over. Normally she would just plop the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" right on the table. Same thing. The blue signifies it's time to crown a champion. I just got chills again writing that sentence.

-Fran Fraschilla is doing color for these Norman Regional games. He should be doing the men's tourney. I think Fran is the best college analyst in the biz today. Although if I could only pick one play-by-play guy and one analyst to call one game....Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery. My man crush on Gus Johnson is well documented.

-OU officials aren't overly thrilled with their game times in the Norman Regional. An 8:30pm Sunday night start is less than ideal for crowds. And if the Sooners win tonight, they'll play at 8:30pm again on Tuesday night.

-I'm not sure if I'm supposed to publicize this yet or not, but if OU wins tonight Sherri Coale is going to co-host my radio show with me in studio Monday morning. 7:30-9:30am on Sportstalk 1400am. You can hear it on the internet at Should be fun. Several OU coaches are scheduled to call in and wish her good luck.

-Coolest nickname in the tournament = South Dakota State Jackrabbits.

-I don't think Georgia Tech can keep up with OU's quickness if that's the 2nd Round matchup. UALR is giving them fits. The Jackets are big, but slow.

-Arkansas-Little Rock has won 21 of their last 22 games. They are quick and playing with confidence. 1st-round upsets are rare in the women's tourney, but I think we're going to see one here.
