90 years ago, Dexter Blevins was a 15-pound baby, born to a 96-pound mother, in the backwoods of Arkansas.
Raised in a farmhouse with no electricity, no running water but an abundance of love.
Up at 4, a cotton picker, horse and buggy till 21, Army man, amateur boxer, then minister-for-life.
Never much money, but only the best bats and balls for us three boys (only fitting that for a man who never asked what salary hed be paid and never made more than 25k/year that all three of us boys got our school covered. Oldest brother Paul played football and ran track at Arkansas and brother Bill ran track at OU).
A fitness nut, committed to God and to country, a non-judgemental giver without an enemy in the world.
Hes never let me down. My hero and my best friend.
Happy Fathers Day. I love you. .
