Dean's Take en route to Dallas Big 12 FB media days

Ill be in Dallas bright and Monday morning for the first day of the 2010 Big 12 Football Media Days.
 
The first one I covered was with the Big 8 Conference on the old  Sywriters Tour in about 1985--so this makes 20-25 of them. 

Theyre all the same. The coaches opening statement: "Wonderful student athletes with a lot of character. We couldnt see them but Im told our players had their best summer workouts ever. But our schedule is so darn hard I dont see how we can win a game."

Then the inevitable question from the pimple-faced Pultizer Prize reporter in the back: "Johnny, if you were animal what would you be--dog or cat?
