I would like to congratulate the "Man on the Moon" for a nice run. For four decades now it has been the benchmark by which we measure all other endeavors. "If we can put a man on the moon, surely we can (fill in the blank)." "We cant (fill in the blank), but we can put a man on the moon."
Well, you are now officially relieved of your greatest human achievement duties. Replaced by the rescue of the 33 Chilean miners. Amazing suff! 23-hundred feet underground!
The video of their ascent is some fo the most fascinating human drama Ive ever witnessed. I cant fathom the despair and desperation they and their families have experienced over the last two-plus months...contrasted by bursting into the fresh air in that capsule and seeing the throngs there to welcome them back ON TOP of Mother Earth.
"If we can rescue 33 Chilean Miners, surely we can (fill in the blank)."
