Ive learned through my radio show that weeks of big games usually follow the same script in Sooner Nation. Early week panic over injuries...followed by mid-week doubts...followed by end of the week bravado.
Stage One was taken care of in part Monday night when Bob Stoops announced that both Roy Finch and Austin Box should be good to go for Bedlam. Finch was expected. Box was not. OU should be about as healthy as any team could hope to be this time of year.
Stage Two will likely begin today. All the things that could go wrong will start to emerge. All the reasons OU wont win will surface. Coaches will be scrutinized. Players will be dissected. A general sense of dread will settle in.
Then around Thursday, that cloud will lift for Stage Three and Sooner fans will begin to beat their chests. Confidence will arrive out of thin air. Trash talk will pick up. Bedlam bravado will rise to the top and by Saturday itll be on like Donkey Kong.
