KINGFISHER, Oklahoma -- The court hearing was delayed Monday for a lifetime registered sex offender accused of having sex with his 14-year-old niece.

Matthew Mallory hired a new attorney, so the hearing in Kingfisher was continued until August 11.

Mallory is charged with five counts of child abuse. Police caught him in Texas in April after investigators say he ran away with the girl.

A judge set Mallory's bond at more $1.2 million. He'll be back in court in August.
