Refunds Coming For Some Payne County Taxpayers

PAYNE COUNTY, Oklahoma -- Some taxpayers in Payne County will be getting a refund.

The Payne County Assessor says nearly 3,500 residents were overcharged for Personal Property Tax in 2010.

The Assessor's office says the claims for overpayment total more than $207,000.

Correction claim forms are being mailed out this week. The forms must be signed by the taxpayer and notarized in order to claim a refund.
