NORMAN, Oklahoma—Former OU running back Adrian Peterson will not be in attendance at the youth football camp that bears his name.
According to ProCamps.com Peterson will instead be filming for the NFL Top 100 program that he will be featured on later this year.
ProCamps also released this statement on its website:
"Although we are saddened to hear that he won't be able to attend his camp, we congratulate Adrian on the honor. Since we learned the news, ProCamps has been working around the clock to maintain a program that still provides a first-class experience to all campers and allows interaction with various Sooner stars."
Other Sooner-greats Mark Clayton, DeMarco Murray and Jason White will serve as the camp's special guest hosts this week.
The football camp that teaches fundamentals and skills of football is set to take place June 23 and 24 in Norman at the OU Intramural fields.
