OKLAHOMA CITY – All it took was one big inning from the Omaha Storm Chasers to come away with a 7-1 victory over the RedHawks on Saturday.
Though Omaha got on the board in the top of the second inning with a run, it was the fifth inning that quickly put the game out of reach.
A series of base hits gave the Storm Chasers six runs in the fifth for a 7-0 lead.
Oklahoma City managed a single run in the eighth on an RBI from Oswaldo Navarro, but it wasn't enough to start a rally.
OKC gave up 12 hits in the loss.
Gustavo Chacin gave up all seven runs and 10 hits in 4.1 innings to pick up the loss.
The two teams will finish up their series at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday.
