OKLAHOMA CITY— The lockout has ended and thus the signing begins. Just one day after the end of the NFL lockout, talent from Oklahoma is agreeing to terms with NFL teams across the country.
We are following the signings and bringing you the latest updates on players from Oklahoma signing with pro teams.
Oklahoma:
Eric Mensik—OT, Arizona Cardinals
The Rosenberg, Texas native, listed at 6-6, 288 pounds, played in 23 games for the Sooners starting three of those games. In 2009 he played 197 snaps including 84 against Oklahoma State and 89 against Stanford.
Adrian Taylor—DT, Houston Texans
The 6'4 tackle made 37 tackles for the Sooners in 2009and was voted All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. In 2010 he worked hard to get back on the field and played in 10 games with 12 tackles before he tore his right Achilles tendon in November against Texas Tech.
Cameron Kenney—WR, San Diego Chargers
The 6'1 wide receiver from Dacula, Georgia recorded 33 catches for 544 yards and four touchdowns last year for the Sooners
Mossis Madu –RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
A native of Norma, Madu had 59 carries for 254 yards and one touchdown last season for OU. In his career he tallied 219 carries for 978 yards and nine scores.
Oklahoma State:
Dan Bailey—K, Dallas Cowboys
The 2010 Lou Groza Award Winner and Oklahoma City Native, set a school record by converting a record 131 extra-point attempts in a row. In 2010, Bailey made 27-of-31 field goals for a total of 149 points on the season.
Ugo Chinasa—DE, Carolina Panthers
Chinasa, a native of Richardson, Texas, played in 34 games for the Cowboys from 2007-2009 racking up 667 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.
Orie Lemon—LB, Dallas Cowboys
Although he tore his ACL last season, the 242 pound speedster is a big hitter that can make an impact. The Houston native totaled 132 tackles last season along with two sacks.
Chris Donaldson—DT, Green Bay Packers
During the 2010 season at OSU, Donaldson recorded 25 tackles, including four for loss and three sacks.
Tulsa:
Tanner Antle—LB, Chicago Bears
The 6'4 228 pound linebacker aided the Golden Hurricane last season tallying 79 tackles and two sacks. Antle is on his way to Chicago and is expected to sign with the Bears by Tuesday evening.
Odrick Ray—DE, Jacksonville
This 6'3 defensive end from Athens, Texas ,helped Tulsa in eight games by tallying 14 tackles, with five for loss, and 4.5 sacks in 2010. In his career at TU he recorded 56 tackles with 10 for loss and seven sacks.
