Troopers Evacuate Bridge Creek Area Due To Wildfire

Evacuations due to a large wildfire in northern Grady County are being carried out according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

BRIDGE CREEK, Oklahoma --  Evacuations due to a large wildfire in northern Grady County are being carried out according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The OHP said that seven troopers have been dispatched to the Bridge Creek area to evacuate residents north and west of Sand Rock Road.  This is near mile marker 96 along the H. E. Bailey Turnpike.

Grady County Emergency Management reported that the firefighters from Amber, Tuttle and Bridge Creek are fighting the fire.

Two firefighters from Tuttle are being treated for heat-related illness.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of the turnpike are open.
